The Opportunity

We’re hiring a part-time caregiver for Wednesdays only (8-hour shift) to support an elderly male client with advanced dementia. The home is a smoking environment. Applicants must be comfortable working around indoor smoke and maintaining professional boundaries with a client who can be verbally resistant due to dementia.

Schedule

• Wednesdays

• 9 hours (target: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM slight flexibility)

• Occasional extra coverage possible with advance notice

What You’ll Do

• Personal care: bathing, grooming, hygiene

• Behavior support: redirection, de-escalation, safety monitoring

• Meal prep and snacks (home-style cooking)

• Medication reminders (no med administration)

• Light housekeeping (kitchen, client areas)

• Brief shift documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Confident with providing compassionate in home care

• Reliable, professional, compassionate

• Comfortable working in a home where smoking occurs 

Requirements

• Active HCA/CNA/NAC (or in process if applicable)

• Food Handler’s Card & CPR

• Valid Photo ID & Social Security card

• Current TB test

• Proof of caregiving education/training

Pay & Benefits

• $26.00/hour

• Overtime at 1.5x and holiday pay (per company holidays)

• Direct deposit; supportive team; local assignment
